During 2011 on a National level, chapters representing Psi Iota Xi (PIX) sisters in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky contributed $935,026.38 to various philanthropic projects in their local areas.
National Projects supported this year include: Galluadet University Dance Scholarship, The Metropolitan Opera Central Region Audition Award, Hoosier Art Salon, Van Riper Lecture Series, American Speech-Language-Foundation, Deaf Youth Sports Festival, University of Toledo’s Services for People Who Stutter Program, Professional Preparation in Cochlear Implants (PPCI) Program and a Rotating Literature Literacy Project.
For more than 60 years the North Vernon, Indiana, Chapter has supported scholarships and grants to students of Jennings County High School who are continuing their education in some way after high school graduation. The chapter gives particular attention to those who are choosing fields within Psi Iota Xi’s area of emphasis, speech and hearing, the arts or areas related to literacy such as teaching or journalism.

The Valparaiso Chapter has supported the Porter County Summer Speech and Hearing Clinic for more than 30 years by selling their cheesespread. PIX's main emphasis is Speech and Hearing, Music, the Arts and helping in our communities.

In 2009 Psi Iota Xi Gave $1,008,616.60
This amount includes what local chapters gave to their community; State Associations gave within their state; The varied endowments established by Psi Iota Xi; and the National donations.
Endowed Professorship at Riley Hospital - We have completed two Long Term Projects. The first established an endowment for a professorship at Riley Hospital to research speech with children of cochlear implants—one of our early partnerships with Dr. Richard Miyamoto.
Cleft Palate Research - In 2008, we completed our second Long Term Project. Over five years, we donated $113,000 to Carle Institute, Illinois. This was for research using MRIs with cleft palate surgeries.
National Charitable Giving 2009 - Our National awards totaled $36,950.00 in 2009. They illustrate our areas of endeavor: speech and hearing, art, music, and literature.
